Spider-Man faces off against the menacing mechanical arms of Doc Ock in an official poster for Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Shared to r/Spiderman on Reddit, the poster, which is shown attached to the side of a bus, sees Spider-Man in his Iron Spider armor kneeling on what looks like debris as two of Doctor Octopus' tentacles move towards him. Also present in the poster is New York City, which can be seen hanging upside down in the sky.

No Way Home leading man Tom Holland recently admitted costar Alfred Molina's portrayal of the character, which debuted in 2004's Spider-Man 2, scared him senseless as a child. "I was obsessed with [Sam] Raimi's movies," Holland stated. "I remember seeing Alfred in his costume for the first time, and he had the glasses on, and he was wearing his belt, which is what the legs were attached to. And I remember, as I kid, being terrified of him."

Holland also said Molina had "relearn" how to play Doc Ock for No Way Home due to how visual-effects capabilities have progressed since Spider-Man 2 was filmed. "It was really fun to watch [Molina] see how technology has advanced," the actor said. "When he was making [Raimi's Spider-Man 2], the arms were puppets, and when we did it, they're all imaginary and CG. It was quite cool to see him relive it, but also relearn it."

Of course, Doctor Octopus won't be the only classic Spider-Man movie villain to vex the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Peter Parker -- No Way Home will supposedly introduce a five-member version of the Sinister Six. It was also tentatively confirmed that Rhys Ifans' Lizard and Thomas Haden Church's Sandman would also make appearances.

As for the villains, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and Spider-Man and Venom movie producer Amy Pascal recently shed some light on why No Way Home is bringing back classic antagonists. "We knew we were forcing ourselves to deal with [Spider-Man's] identity being revealed," Feige began. "Now we see how his senior year is thrown into utter chaos."

"The Multiverse was a good way for us to explore the problem of him becoming known to everyone," Pascal added. "Peter opens Pandora's box. And that's what the Multiverse is."

Spider-Man: No Way Home hits theaters on Dec. 17.
